Chapter 33: Desire

You will show us your faithfulness and unfailing love
as you promised to our ancestors Abraham and Jacob long ago.

Micah 7:20 NLT

I awoke this morning with desire for God.  Has this happend to you?  As I looked East to the Sunrise, I watched as the sun slowly rose above the snow clouds.  I was filled with anticipation, hope and joy.  I thanked God for the many blessings and the journey my family has been traveling.  Thank you Jesus!

God continues to build and grow his plans for our family in Poland.  I am filled with Joy and excitement!  On the 15th of January, we sat down with a group of people intent on following God, sharing our testimonies and Gods leading in our lives.  By the end of the meeting it was clear, God had brought all of us together.  Last Thursday, we met a second time and laid more foundation for sone exciting new ministries in Kraków.  Though we are still laying the foundation, God is moving!  It is exciting to see pieces start to fall into place.  More information to come as it takes shape.

In December, I met with a new polish contact about starting a foundation for all my new coffee ventures and my future Honduras connections.  I didn’t know what to expect.  As soon as she started speaking it was clear that she was filled with the Holy Spirit and was passionately in Love with Jesus.  As I shared my testimony and she gave me encouraging words from God, possibilities seemed unending.

Last Friday I met with her and some of her colleagues and reiterated my passion for people and coffee.  They are proposing that I serve coffee and build relationships at ecumenical gatherings once a month and then again when they do prayer/street evangelism.  How awesome an opportunity.  This group is filled with excitement for Jesus and growing the kingdom!

This upcoming month we have a Valentine’s Day event with the Sere the City(StC) Kraków team.  We are excited to hand out treats and offer prayer to those passing in the Rynek Podgórski.  StC is progressing nicely!  We are growing the core team and hoping to start developing this group to impact our city, following the movement of God.  I am thankful that God has placed a strong leader  and drive in Travis M, our director.  Of course, many hands makes light work.

This month we will be finalizing our plans to the U.S.  If you would like to host us, hear our story, or know of someone who you think would like to hear us, please get in contact with Michelle or I!  We would love to visit as many people as we can!  We plan to be in Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas and many other States…so feel free to send us a message!

Take heart those who are discouraged.  Following God is not a path free from obstacles, challenges, or trials.  Nor is this journey one that you must take alone.  Thought you may feel alone, Gods ominpresence prevents this from being truth!  We serve a social God who will strengthen us.  All we must do is talk to him!

Please join my family in prayer:

-for my meeting this month to select a coffee farm in Honduras

-for Michelle as she leads worship and connects with the other Moms at the kids school

-as we plan our stateside trip, flights, meetings, etc

-as we decide on housing and school options for the kids

-as we lay a foundation for a new ministry
