Chapter 16: Return Through Prayer

Then Samson prayed to the Lord, “Sovereign Lord, remember me. Please, God, strengthen me just once more…Then he pushed with all his might, and down came the temple on the rulers and all the people in it. Thus he killed many more when he died than while he lived.  Judges 16:28-30

Every time I sit down to write our newsletter, I want to start it with, “This past month has been crazy!”  Every time I stop myself with the realization that when you follow God whole heartedly, crazy becomes the norm.  Just like Samson ending was more incredible than his ending, when we fully surrender to God and seek Him more fully, “crazy” things happen.  Thus he killed many more when he died than while he lived.

When we arrived in Oklahoma we had roughly 25% of our finances raised for 1 year and maybe 25% with pledges for two years…that was on October 6th.   We shared our testimony and story of God’s movement in our lives and through the Church of the Nazarene in Poland and its Sweet Surrender Coffee Shop ministry.  We first share with the promising youth of Coweta Nazarene, true youth leadership and community focus! Then we traveled down to Ada to visit the Knight family, met some incredible people of God, and God started to speak to us.

God had already impressed a deep call on Michelle’s heart about returning to Poland, and though my heart longed to return, it wasn’t the same.  Then God impressed it upon my heart in Ada.  My care, concern and love of the Poles that we have met, and have yet to meet!, grows deeper with each conversation we have about our story and journey.
That next Sunday, we traveled to Edmond to speak with our friend Sherrie’s Heritage Fellowship church and then down to the Tex-oma Zone missions rally in Coalgate.  Truly a blessed time of good fellowship, good food, and new friends.  Thank you guys so much!

So, 3 weeks later…and we are now at 50% funded for 1 year and 30% for two years! PRAISE THE LORD!  God continues to amaze us in very real ways!

God truly works in ways that make sense to Him.  He has an incredible plan, and we would like to thank you for being a part of our family’s journey.  We wouldn’t be where we are today without your support.  Financial and Prayer support are such an imperative part of our journey, we are truly blessed that you have chosen to support us in what ways you can.

Please continue to join us in prayer for our return to Poland:

… that we would respond to God’s leading both here Stateside and in our return to Poland.

…that we would receive the funding to serve God for the time he calls us (we believe this to be for 2 years)

…that we would continue to glorify God in all we do, being fully devoted followers of Christ!

…that we would have safe travels as we travel in Oklahoma, Arkansas and  down to Houston to share with church’s and families.

We praise God for:

…providing money to cover monthly payments while we are abroad.

…opening up two more opportunities to share with Churches.

…the safe travels we have had in over 4,000 miles of car travels and 6 different states we have been to and through!

…Opening doors, speaking to and through us, and being our provider!
Our current Financial need is $55,000:
Any financial support you can give would be greatly appreciated.  We would encourage you to visit our Nazarene Fund Page to see the different options for giving, from one time, to reoccurring, or intermittent throughout the year.
